I know you have seen it around.
That Facebook Meme, the creator seems to be unknown, about how shopping at a small business means you are helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy his team jersey and a mom or dad put food on the table instead of a ceo getting a third home.
That is powerful stuff right there. At least to me.
How many of us have families? Kids we are trying to feed? Parent's who struggled to feed us when we were younger? When we support small businesses... we truly are supporting the american dream!
Bill Rancic said
" I'm a big fan of small business ownership. I think it's the backbone of the American innovation.
But to be successful, you first have to have the courage to go for it.
Oh man was he right.
Courage... that's the thing that seems to be so hard to master and overcome.
But for those that do, what a ride it can be!
It is no secret that I am a HUGE fan of small businesses. I believe in getting to know them, supporting them and helping them in anyway I can. I believe they truly are the backbone of our country. I believe in the success of that.
So I want to do something to help.
As a small business owner myself, I know the excitement, the ambition and the struggle that comes with going forward with that courage to become a small business, drowning in taxes and to-dos, but doing what you love!
Paul Ryan had a great quote too, he said
"Behind every small business, there's a story worth knowing. All the corner shops in our towns and cities, the restaurants, cleaners, gyms, hair salons, hardware stores -- these didn't come out of nowhere."
I want to learn about those stories, photograph a little bit of those stories, and I want to help share those stories.
Enter in Fleur de Lea Photography's Project #TucsonSpotlight for Small Local Businesses. Starting this summer, each month I will be featuring a different local business.
If you are a small business in Tucson, Arizona, I want to feature you! I will schedule a time to meet with you, learn more about you and where you came from and spend approximately 30-45 minutes photographing some of your business! This is at no cost to you!
If you would like to participate in this, please email me at info@fleurdeleaphotography.com with a photo of you and your business and for information on how to apply! Availability will be limited.
I can't wait to work with you and share a part of your story!
Please note: The purpose of this project is to spread the word about your business and help you reach more potential clients. You will receive the blog post to share on your social media or website, the individual images themselves may be used on social media with textual credit, however are not intended to be for sale or for print.
